TIER 1: All students/ Whole Group

• To focus on metacognition and the teaching of thinking skills to ALL students in order to improve student achievement
• To expand, enhance and extend learning opportunities for all by providing broad access to many learning resources and technologies
• ACTIVITIES: Thinking Skills, Problem Solving, Speakers, School Wide Contests, Field Trips, National Spelling Bee

 

TIER 2: Many students/ Interest Level

• To provide curriculum- connected enrichment opportunities offered to interested students
• ACTIVITIES: expansion of core curriculum, revolving door units, interdisciplinary projects involving more than 1 subject area

 

TIER 3: Some students/Accelerated Learners

• To provide a high level of challenge and appropriate pace for learners who show sustained interest & ability
• ACTIVITIES: extended, in-depth work, State Assessment Tutorials/Review- ELA & DBQ
• Small group work, competitions
