Northwood Elemtary Literacy Team

In a major effort to improve the English Language Arts skills of their students, the West Seneca Central School District has created seven Literacy Specialist positions. The Literacy Teams in each of the seven elementary buildings will promote English Language Arts skills and development. One of the main goals will be to develop prevention and intervention strategies for West Seneca students. Northwood's Literacy Team is Dolly Llewellyn (Literacy Specialist), Patty Card (Reading Specialist), and Patti Gocella (Teacher Assistant); along with Principal Bob Breidenstein. They are working in collaboration with Northwood teachers to promote strong reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in Northwood students. The school year will be an exciting challenge for all!
